How to Become a Member of The Academy (Membership)
- Fill out the New Member form on our website and submit payment. All applications are reviewed by the Membership Committee and voted upon by the Fellow Membership at the Closing Business Meeting of our Annual Seminar.
How to Become a Fellow of The Academy (Fellow Membership)
- Academy Membership for a minimum of three years
- Regular attendance at Academy meetings
- Made consistent contributions in support of Academy activities. These may include but are not limited to presenter, moderator, Fireside Chat moderator, newsletter articles, various Academy committees’ participation, etc.
- After three consecutive years as a Member of The Academy, you can petition the Membership Committee to change your status to Fellow, but it is recommended that you follow the application form and secure a nomination from a current Fellow of The Academy along with two seconding nominations.
- Signed and Dated application and all supporting material must be submitted at least three months prior to the AACP Meeting.
- Your application will be reviewed by the Membership Committee and voted upon by the Fellow Membership at the Closing Business Meeting of our Annual Seminar.
- If your application is approved, you become a Fellow at the end of that meeting. We encourage you to then immerse yourself into accepting this responsibility by investing the time to learn all that you can about the operations and become an active participant. Make plans to be present at the following year’s meeting where you will be formally inducted along with other colleagues at the Induction Dinner.
